The Cabo Cycle Adventure Park is the perfect place for an ecological hike. It is situated on 700 acres and has a very extensive and diverse desert ecosystem. Nature-lovers won’t believe the natural beauty that surrounds them as they walk along the trails that wind through the desert terrain and down to the beach. An experienced guide will point out the awesome native flora and fauna as you hike along the trails.
You will be delighted by the iguanas, butterflies, and several species of birds such as road-runners, sparrows, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers, and if you are lucky, you may see a snake. Cacti dot the terrain, and the giant, towering cacti which are called Cardon will impress you. Cardon cacti can grow to heights of 60 ft. and live for hundreds of years. There are beautiful flowering vines, medicinal plants, and several varieties of trees.
Along the ravine there are hundreds of bright green Mexican fan palms that stand out against the rocks. As you hike, there will be amazing views of the iconic Cabo Arch and the Sea of Cortez. Down on the beach, you’re sure to see a pelican or two, and everyone hopes to catch a glimpse of a grey whale during the winter season. This terrain is still pristine and undisturbed, making it a fantastic ecological adventure.
